Arun Jaitely reassigned Ministry of Finance and Corporate affairs

Post making a brief appearance during the trust vote a month back, Arun Jaitely is back to steer the Ministry of Finance and Corporate Affairs as President of India, as advised by the Prime Minister, has directed to assign the portfolios of the Minister of Finance and Minister of Corporate Affairs to him on 23 August 2018. It took him about three months sabbatical to recuperate from a surgery, wherein Piyush Goyal was roped in to handle his portfolio in the period, he was on leave.
After resuming the charge, the Finance Minister Jaitley held his First Meeting with the Finance Secretary, Hasmukh Adhia, Secretary (Expenditure), A.N. Jha, Secretary (Financial Services), Rajiv Kumar, Secretary (Corporate Affairs), Injeti Srinivas,Chairman CBDT,  Sushil Chandra and Chairman CBIC, and S. Ramesh among others.
