It’s her hard work that got to inaugurate the show at hands of the ‘Turn Around Man’, Ashwani Lohani, Chairman and Managing Director, Air India, who has been entrusted with the task of turning around India’s National Carrier- Air India. As expected with Lohani’s past turnaround achievements in realm of tourism and railways, he has had made tremendous headways in the said direction streamlining operations, adding on new international and domestic flights, while the major revolution is awaiting a structural push aimed at recalibrating the debt burden of the legacy carrier. “We have made some progress and things have started to work in the right direction. There are talks of restructuring the debt burden accumulated over the past decades”, said Lohani. “It gives me great pleasure to witness this unique kids expo. It will be great if these young leaders of tomorrow are educated about the various travel attractions and nurtured with ethos that helps them imbibe a healthy lifestyle to shape their lives better!,” he added.
Also present at the inaugural ceremony, Shazia Ilmi, a social reformist and a BJP leader said that Hotel Le Meridien partnering such an event is encouraging. “Investing in kids is investing in the future. I hope more such events and expos are organised on pan India basis that educate kids on merits of a healthy lifestyle. Considering the said event is in its third edition, going on it should adopt an universal accessible drive and encourage more and more specially abled kids to also come forward and exhibit their skills,” Ilmi emphasised. There were many other veterans from distinct walks of life including tourism, hospitality and many other fields- present at the inauguration of the expo today in New Delhi.
Jack & Jill wonder years Expo is curated around health, wellness, travel, education and science, which are the essential of forming a healthy and prudent lifestyle for the leaders of future. No doubts, kids have a great influence on the choices that parents make and they can actually be the key to bring a holistic, happy and healthier lifestyle for the complete families, says Mayal. “Our expo is designed to undo the physical barriers and are open to participation from all the kids in the age group upto 14 years. In this third edition, we have added many new attraction. We have got state tourism boards and travel companies to educate kids on travel attractions. There are activities and activities like Zumba to make kids realise importance of an active lifestyle. Hygiene is another key aspect that is being emphasised across different activities in the expo. On top of it all their is Ho Ho bus to take these youngsters around the key travel sites and attraction in NCT,” added Mayal.
For the uninitiated, Jack and Jill is a two day fun filled exhibition. The 2016 edition is being hosted at the Le Meridien Hotel in New Delhi, packed with fantastic exhibits, interactive activities along with entertainment and a treat for the whole family. Here, to name a few Kids activities such as fashion shows, talent shows, magic shows, the list literally speaking is endless and host of exhibitors representing all children related products from 0 to 14 years.
